I only found about about the Black Quill Awards five minutes ago, via a link on Facebook. The Black Quill Award is run by Dark Scribe Magazine. It honours works of dark genre literature published by both mainstream and small press publishers, and is in its fourth year. There are seven categories, and each category will award two winners, an Editor’s choice and a Reader’s choice, the latter to be decided by popular vote.
Horror Library Vol 4, which contains my story “Ghosts Under Glass”, is up for Best Dark Genre Anthology. And if you scroll down the page to Best Dark Genre Book of Non-Fiction, you’ll see fellow ex-pat Kiwi and Australian Horror Association member Rocky Wood‘s book “Horrors: Great Stories of Fear and Their Creators” at the top of the list.
Voting is free, and will only take a few minutes of your time. Head on over and take a look.
